She holds a doctorate in medicine from Pontificia Universidad Cátolica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic and completed her internship in Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her passion for medicine and serving others comes from an early age in her life after witnessing her aunt taking care of patients as a nurse in Puerto Rico and after her mother’s example of helping those in need through mission work in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic, steps that she herself followed while completing high school and during her career in medicine. Dr. Colón has a particular interest in primary care, preventive medicine, and clinical research.

During her free time, she likes to exercise, travel, watch sports and have dinner with friends and family.

Lorenzo Sanchez, FNP

Health Optimization Specialist

Having completed over 45 ultramarathons, Lorenzo Sanchez knows how to push physical boundaries and achieve optimal health for peak performance. After more than 10 years of service in the Air Force as a Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE) specialist, Lorenzo pursued training in both emergency and preventative medical care, earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees as a Nurse Practitioner. Therefore Lorenzo draws from a wealth of personal and professional experience to serve his patients.

His time as an SERE specialist ignited his interest in elite physical training. His limits were tested again during his 5-day ultralight hike of the 222 mile John Muir Trail with limited gear. This love of the outdoors combined with rigorous mental and physical challenges is what allows Lorenzo to recognize which health optimization techniques and therapies are truly life altering, while filtering out the less effective, and sometimes dangerous, health fads that can be expensive and fruitless.

After his military career, Lorenzo began working in healthcare a a nurse in an inner-city emergency department. He loved the fast-paced and complex nature of emergency medicine, but realized the need for earlier interventions and preventative care. To this end, he pursued further training, with the goal of preventing disease rather than treating disease when it reached its crisis point.

Lorenzo has a deep love of creating individualized and comprehensive health plans for patients
that will not just improve their overall health but every single aspect of their lives.

A native of New Mexico, Lorenzo’s love of the outdoors began there at a young age. He grew up fishing, hiking, and bow hunting in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains. Now living in San Antonio, when Lorenzo is not out hiking or competing in races, he can be found enjoying his time with his beautiful wife and three wonderful children.
